Taking place on the Wednesday and Thursday evenings preceding the Queen’s official birthday in June, we provide marquees for the VIP seating area, the orchestra and a number of behind the scenes areas.
A small marquee with a premium finish, a 15m by 6m marquee stands centrally in front of the arch into the parade ground. Full height glass doors and panels make up the back wall, roll-up windows on the sides allow for a clear view out of the tent and can be very quickly rolled up and out of sight depending on the weather, the front section of the tent left completely open except for a scalloped gable provides maximum viewing across the parade ground.
A two tier stage, takes up almost the entirety of the tent, providing a raised seating area for the Household Division’s invited guests, including senior members of the Royal Family.
A 9m marquee sits behind it, to house the guards orchestra and a pair of 3m tents provide catering and shelter for the musicians, choir, crew and personnel behind the scenes.
90 minutes of music and military displays, rounded off with fireworks and pyrotechnics, this is one of our favourite events of the year, partly because one or two personnel get to attend the concerts to prep the main marquee prior to each performance, completely removing the front section and then resealing it after the show.
